Emmerdale star Ryan Hawley has dropped a huge hint his character Robert Sugden’s wedding to Aaron Dingle is imminent. The couple, affectionately dubbed Robron by soap fans, are a huge fans’ favourite and earlier this year pledged to get hitched for a second time. Yet with Aaron’s half sister Liv Flaherty currently in prison, amid a host of other dramas in the dales, the ceremony has taken a back seat. Giving a huge clue as to whether their second I Do moment would go ahead actor Ryan, who is nominated for a British Soap Award next month, said he’d received the scripts. He told Thursday’s This Morning: “I’ve just read something coming up in the next batch of scripts that kind of gives an answer to that question. “I’m not going to say is or isn’t it going to happen but what’s in the script is an indicator.” Yet pushing him for more teasers soap expert Sharon Marshall, who pens some of the soap’s scripts, tellingly added: “If we didn’t get you guys together I think we would get lynched.” Earlier in the chat, Ryan, 32, jested there had been rivalry between himself and fellow Emmerdale hunk Michael Parr, who is nominated for the same award. He confessed he hasn’t spoken to the Ross Barton actor since the nomination, as he has been on holiday. Meanwhile, fans were left stunned on Wednesday as Michael revealed he was quitting the tea time show after five years.
